Boo Windows

Boo windows is a peaceful yet marine-covered area on Misool Island. From the surface, two rocks can be seen through them divers swim through but both rocks are interconnected together underwater with soft coral reefs.

This place is also known for โ€œWindowsโ€ separately opening and showing inspiring colors to the divers. Here, you may likely to met frogfish, Butterflyfish, Jellyfish, Reef fish, pygmy sea horses, etc. As the dive site is covered by rocks divers are advised to take an underwater torch with them in order to see the rainbow colors of this beautiful window site.

Cape Kri

Cape Kri is the only place which holds the record for the largest number of species on a single day. An acclaimed marine biologist, Gerald R. Allen, set this record. This dive site became world famous for its huge amount of diversity when he recorded 374 species here in 2012.  During this diving spot, the current is different, which is why it happened. 

You may see a great number of marine creatures some of them we have enlisted. Blacktip, Whitetip, Grey reef sharks, batfish, frogfish, Barracuda, Pelagic, shrimps, tuna, etc on this site.

Four Kings

Four Kings dive site is a remarkable place for scuba diving on Misool Island in Indonesia. Four kings’ names are set as there are four diving pinnacles. You can easily go from one pinnacle to another and explore soft coral reefs.

Diving the site can take place in any direction, however, the shallowest point on the solitary pinnacle is the ideal place to start. There is a 15-meter gap between all the pinnacles. but It is a dramatic deep canyon that lies between the last two pinnacles.

A pinnacle diving place with an oval shape is Sardine Reef. The pinnacle stretches for about 200m, descending to the seabed at approximately 25m below the surface. It reaches a depth of about 5m below the surface.

Drop-Off in Tulamben

It has another name โ€œTulamben wallโ€. This place is a part of Bali and a well-liked place by many divers. Due to its low current and good visibility. In 1963 Lava from the Agung mountains erupted on this site.

The drop-off in Tulamben is widely spread with the strange black carols, reef fish, whitetip sharks, and pygmy seahorses. In order to see seahorses more clearly you may need to get closer as they are as small as a thumb.

SD Point

SD Point is another eye-catchy dive place for divers with the beautiful Coral and normal current provide the best result while going deep and deep you may encounter with the Mola Mola, also known as the Ocean sunfish, which weighs up to 1000kg! Sea jellyfish is the main diet of these animals, which they must consume in order to grow as large as they do, and they exert a minimal amount of energy by flapping their awkwardly placed fins.

The female sunfish is also recognized as the most prolific egg producer in the world with an amazing 300,000,000 eggs at a time. It is because of their enormous size and many natural predators that they rely on an extraordinary number of eggs before they reach adulthood.

If given the chance, sharks, sea lions, and killer whales will hunt them. Mola molas are best spotted before dawn when they gather in great numbers below the surface.

The Amed Wall is another famous dive site in Indonesia. Scuba diving in Amed will give you a peaceful environment due to the unpopulated area located on the coast of Bali Indonesia.

It takes only 5 minutes on Amed wall if you use the โ€œJukung boatโ€ which is a very common and most liked boat in the Philippines and Indonesia. This boat is made with pieces of wood and is surprisingly faster than small boats.

Ceningan Wall located at Nusa can only be divided when conditions allow because weather and the current changes here dramatically. This hypnotizing wall is always captured by divers. Entering from the edge of Seraya secrets shows you cuttlefish, Frogfish, Firefish, pipefish, and seahorses.  With the sandy bottoms, visibility is difficult but if you have patience you might see a mimic octopus hidden in the sand.

Temple Garden, Pemuteran

In cooperation with the local dive centers, one of the three BRF/USAid-funded projects built this gorgeous man-made dive site. The temple garden, it’s 30 meters deep, and then it’s 30 meters deeper to the dive site Temple Wall. A Buddha, Ganesha, Turtle, and other sea creature statues can be found in the garden. 

Throughout the site are little bommies, one of which holds a Buddha’s head. A lack of visibility is a result of its location in the bay, which causes visibility to be limited to around 10 meters.

Divers with a lot of experience are permitted to dive with a dive guide due to the depth of the dive site. Advanced Divers are not typically allowed to dive at this site, but Open Water Divers with a lot of experience can dive with a dive guide.

USAT Liberty Wreck

USAT Liberty shipped was operated by the US Army which was built in 1918 and did a great job in World war I. However, during world war II she was hit by a Japanese submarine in 1942 on the Island of Bali Indonesia. 

It is a fantastic dive site which allows diving to all levels of scuba divers. A large area of this site is covered with volcanic pebbles. It is recommended to use dive boots while going to the edge of the water. Once you arrive around the corner you may notice black sand covering pebbles. This is the point where you can start your scuba diving journey.

Shallow water starts from 4m to 18m which makes easy access for snorkelers. on the sandy bottom, you will see the ship laying on its side, and then see how she has transformed since sinking. 

While exploring the USAT Liberty wreck you may encounter some of the unique underwater species like Lizardfish, Barracuda, reef fish, frogfish, and also bigger creatures like pelagic fish, batfish, and stingrays.

Garden Eel Point

Garden Eel point on Menjangan Island is a recommended place for divers who avoid big crowds. It is a marine reserve park which costs around 40,000 to 42,000 for getting access to this park.


You may contact the dive centers located near the village of Pemuteran; they will not only organize your trip but also give you the necessary equipment and proper guidance.

Apart from all, If you are not a diver still you can dive on this site and enjoy it with your whole family too. Nevertheless, Expert divers may go deep and have access to seeing little creatures, fish, turtles manta rays dwelling in deep water.

Anker Wreck, Menjangan Island

Anker Wreck is a myth because no one knows from where this boat came but this site is the deepest site at Menjangan Island and for this sake, dive experts may only go to this site. Anker’s name is set from the anchor which lies below 7m-9m from the surface.

While Scuba diving in Anker Wreck you are going to see the wreckage, pieces of wood, copper, metal, and different parts of the Anker boat. Turning to marine life, you will see bannerfish, gorgonians, frogfish, nudibranchs, fusiliers, and batfish.

Wall of Cornucopia

Cornucopia is famous as the โ€œwall of Cornucopiaโ€. There are so many things which attract them. Divers can spend hours exploring the gorgeous topography of this dive site, which has walls, ledges, and overhangs where a variety of fish hide. The coral views can be enjoyed by drifting with the current.

You may enjoy seeing Eagle rays, Nurse, whitetip sharks, and Mola Mola fish and the soft coral reef with pebbles on the edge of the water.

Bunaken Island is a small village but this place is considered one of the best diving places in the world in the Sulawesi sea Indonesia. Bunaken National Park is a marine reserved and specially protected area. You need a pass to enter this park. The money received from the passes is used in, building and constructing the infrastructure of this park.

Mantehage Island is a part of Bunaken National Park. It is located just beside Wori district and has four villages on this Island. The current on this dive site is very low which means snorkelers or newbies can also dive deep in this blue water.

Lembeh Strait

Lembeh Strait is the diving place for muck divers and photography lovers impressive marine creatures welcome divers to this place. You will dive with a guide in the Lembeh Strait, who will be able to show you species such as frogfish, hairy frogfish, mimic octopus, blue-ringed octopus, banded sea snakes, mandarin fish, orangutan crabs, mantis shrimps, and many other animals that live among patches of rubble and coral in the black volcanic sand.

You are likely to encounter some of the largest creatures as well, despite being known for seeing the wonderfully colored small creatures. Dive operators have also been known to encounter whale sharks and dugongs, two of the most endangered fish species.

Nain Island is a very small Island in Sulawesi. It is a small village where you will find no resorts or homestays. All villagers are Fishermen you will notice many small boats using traps for catching fish while going to Nain Island. It is about a one-hour ride on the boat from the North of Bunaken. 

You would be lucky if you find Hammerhead Fish there, otherwise, you’re going to see Barracuda, Eagle rays, and scorpion fish. 

The current in this place is very strong and the reef is sloppy. Therefore, merely experienced divers are requested to visit this place or tour guides update you on the area where to dive and where not to dive.

Batu Bolong

This is simply a rocky place. Batu Bolong itself says, โ€œA rock with a hole in itโ€. But there are some special mysteries hidden in the deep sea.

Batu Bolong is located on the Northern side of Komodo National Park. This mesmerising diving place is already listed among the top 10 diving places. This diving site always has strong currents so we suggest only experienced divers pay their visit to this small diving place. 

Divers can expect to see an incredible amount of marine life at the dive site. The swimming area is home to a variety of sweetlips, Napoleon wrasse, and rays. Watch out for white-tip reef sharks, green turtles, giant trevally, and giant trevally.

Turtle Town is famous as Siaba Besar. It is a marine protected area without any strong currents which mean it is an ideal place for all levels of divers. Naturally, This dive site is calmer and more relaxed than Mawan Island. 

Snorkelers who have never dived before may visit Siaba Besar in Kamado. This site will give them uncountable experience with access to swimming with frogfish, Pipefish, Pufferfish, butterflyfish, octopus, Hawksbill and green turtles on a soft coral reef. There are hundreds of Turtles in this diving area thatโ€™s why this place is also named โ€œTurtle Townโ€.

The third largest island in Komodo National Park is Padar Island. Which is located between Rinca and Komodo Islands. This diving site is surrounded by wild mountains and greenery covering all the mountains giving a beautiful shape.

Padar Island welcomes Unique viewpoints with sandy beaches. There are a variety of unique creatures living in the unique topography of the reef, and you can train your eyes to spot scorpion fish, frogfish, and other masters of camouflage amongst the rocky coral. The rocky walls are also covered with soft corals, hard corals, and leather corals. The area is home to sharks, turtles, fusilier schools, rays, and pelagic fish.

The strongest current-affected dive site in Kamodo is Batu Tiga. Divers need an advanced-level certificate before coming to this place. All the divers should take typical information and guidance from the tourist guide before jumping into this place.

Rocky dive site and strong current attract big fish like Pelagic fish, Manta Rays, trevally school of Barracuda. Only dive here if you have enough experience to manage yourself in strong underwater currents.

Mawan Island is a small yet paradisal place close to Siaba Besar in the centre of Komodo National Park. it has a great pleasant surprise for the new level divers. This diving site has a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Mawan Island is covered by Grasslands beginners may climb on them and see neighbour islands. White and sandy bottom easy to walk without worrying about stepping on carols or rocks pebbles. Crystal-clear water gives an unforgettable pleasant diving experience.

Sometimes not quite often current changes on these dive sites. This is why it is better to have the proper guidance from tourist guides before you dive in. You may see on this diving point white tip sharks, Cuttlefish, Parrot fish, Bamboo reef sharks, Hawksbill, and green turtles.

Karan Makassar is an Ideal place for Manta rays in Komodo Island. It is one of the longest reefs that consist of 3+ Km long in Komodo National park having shallow water. Drift dives and majestic  Manta rays make this Island more famous because she is present all over the year in Komodo. 

It is the perfect dive site for snorkelers and scuba divers. Beginners may practise and enhance their diving skills, and improve their buoyancy skills whereas experts may enjoy seeing groups of Manta rays swimming along with them.

You would be enjoying dwelling with underwater creatures like unicorn fish, butterfly fish, Leaf fish, Bamboo sharks rarely and gigantic Manta Rays in deep water.

Castle Rock

One of the best and oldest dive sites in Indonesiaโ€™s Komodo island is Castle Rock which is located on the northern side of Komodo National Park. This old pinnacle is not a suitable diving place for beginners. Only an Expert with a scuba diving certificate may come to this diving place.

The current of this site is quite strong, attracting large species of marine life. Along with large grey reef sharks, divers may see schooling barracuda, jacks and mackerel here.

Crystal Rock 

Due to the crystal clear water at Crystal Rock, the name Crystal Rock was given. By looking at the blue you can spot sharks and other passing pelagics. Soft corals and large fans cover the rock and walls at this dive site. There are numerous small creatures to discover, including nudibranchs, trevallies, snapper, fusiliers, butterflyfishes, angelfishes, grouper, damselfishes, parrotfish, triggerfishes, pufferfishes, moray eels, surgeonfishes, and even pygmy seahorses.

Crystal Rock is sometimes home to dolphins, so keep your eyes open! The alarming situation of Crystal Rock is that, while it has excellent visibility for divers, it also has strong currents. As a result of the strong currents, large species of fish such as the Grey Reef shark, White Tip Reef shark, and Giant trevallies are attracted to it.

Exploring Crystal rock depends on which side you are jumping into deep water. Again, this dive site is only for experienced divers.

Yellow Wall

One of the best walls in Kamodo is the Yellow Wall which is located on the southern side of Komodo National Park. After finding yellow lubricates which takes the beauty of this island it got the name โ€œYellow Wallโ€. This wall becomes more stunning when sun rays kiss the surface of the water.

You will be able to fully appreciate the colourful crustaceans at this dive site, such as cleaner shrimp, reef crabs, decorator crabs, slipper lobsters, and spiny lobsters. A number of species are difficult to identify, including poisonous sea urchins, Spanish dancers, nudibranchs, sea apples, sea stars, and other difficult-to-identify creatures.  There are also all the typical animals you would expect to see at the zoo: cat sharks, cardinal fish, parrot fish, and others.

Halik reef is located on the North side of Trawangan Island. This diving place offers a great adventure for beginners and expert divers. Thereโ€™s a sloppy reef of 5 to 24 meters which is why this dive site is enjoyable for all divers.

What you will experience here is steady current and shallow water easy for drift divers. Donโ€™t forget to take your Photography Camera with you if you love underwater photography otherwise, you will miss capturing Soft carol Garden, clownfish, Butterfly, Triggerfish, Reef fish and Green Turtles dwelling all year round. Simonโ€™s Reef

 This place is about 30 m deep and has a sandy bottom between gigantic sea mounds. There are a variety of sea mounds of various sizes and shapes and many different kinds of wildlife hide from the sun in the rocky ridges. Simonโ€™s Reef allows you to see unique creatures which you can not find in any other diving place on Gili Island.

Take Underwater Camera and Torch in order to capture and see the beautiful underwater creatures such as Cuttlefish, invertebrates, scorpion fish, leaf fish, and shy eels are some of the species found here. You will see more marine life if you dive slower at this dive site.

Mirko’s Reef

Mirko’s Reef also known as Secret Reef lies between Air and Meno Island. This is a beautiful and eye-catching reef where Divers can practice deep diving and spot micro marine life at the sea mound, which is home to a variety of sea life. Steady Reef is home to Yellow Trumpetfish, beautiful Long-nosed Butterflyfish,  Pufferfish, Scorpion Fish, Leaf Fish, etc.

Air Wall Reef

Air Wall Reef allows divers to dive 5-30 m depending on the locations of the wall. Divers can go to the sandy bottom 30m deep. The current of this dive site changes dramatically but the shallow water allows all types of divers to dive on this site.

There are many macro creatures hidden in the brightly colored gardens, such as cleaner shrimp, porcelain crabs, scorpionfish, and leaf fish. It is home to a variety of reef fish, including wrasse, parrotfish, butterflyfish, and angelfish.

Japanese Wreck

Gili Island was used by the Japanese in the second world war. Therefore, It left some of the memories hidden on this Island. Divers discovered this dive site and saw Japanese ships wreck. Basically, there were two ships which they used for patrolling after world war II. They left the ships, and villagers and dive experts decided to let the ships be sunk.


You can find wrecks of the ship if you dive deep and 45m. A stunning variety of rare nudibranchs live in the densely overgrown sides of the ship, which are covered in beautiful corals. Huge groupers peek out from the wreck when they dive, and batfish swim overhead.

Meno Bounty Wreck

A 30m-long platform has been left behind by the Meno Bounty wreck, which has provided a home for a variety of fish species. After a stormy night around 15 years ago, it was broken in half by the waves and sunk under the waves where it served as a jetty for the bounty cruise ship. The depth ranges from 8 meters to 16 meters.

Since the wreck has existed for so long and has been subject to such strong currents, it is virtually impossible to tell it apart from the reef around it. Divers cannot swim beneath the wreck because of the currents, which are slowly breaking the wreck apart.

In addition, Here you may find leaf scorpionfish, frogfish, sea moths, and little rays. Coral hosts many little crabs, frogfish, and crablets. Car tires, mooring lines, and bicycles have also been placed in this area along with other man-made items. Underwater, you should avoid touching these items, as they can easily cause you to cut yourself.

Glenn Nusa Wreck

In Feb 2016 Glenn Nusa was originally a tugboat which was sunk just to make nothing but a new dive site. You may visit this diving point between Shark Point and Halik. This site is very deep so only advanced level divers may dive here having an open water course or specialized in wreck diving. Since, it was intentionally sunk while diving, you can explore all aspects of Glenn Nusa such as the Captainโ€™s cabin, toilets, guest rooms width of the boat, and the artificial reef.

Manta Point Gili Island

Manta Point is a prominent point for divers on the South side of Trawangan Island. This dive site offers soft carols and normal current which means this diving place is available for all types of divers. On this dive site, you can not only meet Manta Rays but also other marine creatures like Batfish, Cuttlefish, Stingrays green, and Hawksbill Turtles.

Manta rays often swim in a group for the divers. It’s a request to not touch them because touching them produces bacteria which is harmful to Mantaโ€™s immune system.

Deep Turbo

Deep turbo is located north of Trawangan. This dive site is a local favorite due to its dramatic topography and equally striking coral garden. It is only for experts or who hold an advanced-level certificate. The current is not stable here which is why snorkelers may face problems.

A sandy bottom surrounds the site’s impressive gorges, ridges, and sea mounds, where garden eels, blue-spotted stingrays, and cuttlefish thrive.  Here you may also see rays, sharks, and large schools of fish.

Shark Point Gili Island

Seeing sharks closely is the dream of all  Scuba divers. This is why this place is considered the best and most visited place on Gili Island. Here you can see large sea creatures. 

Capture these all marine creatures with your Camera on this point you can encounter Reef Sharks. In the shallow parts of this dive, you can also see cuttlefish, stingrays, and green turtles. In the blue, you can see schools of trevally and other pelagic fish.
